Maybe it's the writer in me, but I love the "romance" of a sand castle. I love the idea of spending hours, or even days, building a fantastic work of art, only to have it washed away by the surf. Maybe it's the way sand castles resemble life. Maybe it's the way they resemble romance, or love, or relationships. All I know is that I could spend hours, or even days, marveling at their beauty, and wondering about the unique individuals who possess enough talent, patience, and insight to create them.
