Certainly one of the best ways for a writer to get impartial feedback is by entering writers' contests. Even if you don't "win," any feedback you receive will benefit you in your writing.

You can always depend on Inkspot to come through, and they certainly do with Inkspot's Writing Contests. The site announces writing competitions in a variety of genres and categories.

How would you like to be the judge in a writers' contest?Word Museum offers writers' competitions in categories such as romance, mainstream, science fiction, and children's each season. You can enter your writing, or judge what others have written.

Poetry writers will want to consider Deb-E-Books Poetry Writers Contest.

The Romance Club sponsors a writers' contest for book-length romance manuscripts each quarter.

Zuzu's Petals offers a twice-yearly poetry competition. Visit the site for complete information.

The annual CWA National Writing Competition accepts poetry and short story submissions.
