Trick or Treat on the Web

by Robin Nobles

Let's explore some Halloween sites on the Internet. Parents, some of the sites contain haunted houses, scary stories, and frightening graphics that may scare small children. You may want to surf these sites with your child. Personally, I recommend supervision for children in all areas of the Internet. Sometimes innocent searches can turn up some fairly wild links.

Women in Technology International is sponsoring Take Your Children on the Internet the week of October 25-November 1. The event features a Halloween theme and will allow kids to explore the "haunted" regions of the internet, give tips on how to make a costume, and include several other fun and educational activities. This is a high profile event designed to encourage people of all ages to get online and explore the wealth of information available on the Internet. http://www.witi.com./TYCOTI/
