Games to Play Over the Internet

Do you like to play games like bingo or hangman, or maybe action adventure games like Quake? On the Net, you'll find whole gaming communities you can join for a fee, and then play online games until you can't see the computer screen anymore. If you enjoy computer or video games, you'll find tips and tricks on how to play your favorites.
For the purpose of this article though, we're going to concentrate on games you can play online while hooked up to the Internet, at no cost to you.
Mplayer claims to be the fastest multiplayer game service on the Net. Mplayer Free Zone is totally free and allows you to play online games like Quake, Battleship, Scrabble, and Risk. The site features real-time speech, scribble talk whiteboard, or the ability to page a friend to join in a game.
If bingo is more your style, head to the Bingo Zone for a free game against other folks on the Web. Who knows--you may even win a prize!
WorldVillage is a spot for the whole family. Kids can find comics, puzzles, and mazes to keep them occupied in a safe environment, while adults can visit the Gamers' Zone to play online games such as Myst Trivia Challenge, TuneMania, Dots, or Ghost. The site features a chat room, a multimedia cafe, and even a village chapel.
At TheGameMaster, you can play the Net's first TV-style audience-based game called ComeOnDown. Other games include Trivial Matters, Penny Wise, Slots O'Luck, and more.
The Virtual Arcade features Java, Shockwave, CGI, and VRML games based on the arcade favorites of the 1980's, and also offers discussion forums and chat rooms. Games include Celebrity Slugfest, Frog Skeet, ShockBowl, and Big Country Duck Hunt.

Primarily for younger visitors, The Puzzle Depot offers crossword puzzles, riddles, word puzzles and strategy games.
If you like word games, you'll enjoy Internet Park, where you can play games similar to Scrabble and Boggle, or chat with other players.
